LINCOLN, CA. — A burning 29,000-gallon Union Pacific railroad tanker that was leaking propane at a Northern Propane Energy yard in Lincoln, California, caught fire on Tuesday afternoon Aug. 23. The incident forced thousands of homes in the area to be evacuated while firefighters fought the flames in order to prevent a possible explosion.

DUNLAP, IA. – A Union Pacific train derailed on Tuesday, July 19, near the Harrison and Monona county lines. UP spokesman Mark Davis said 13 cars from a 138-car coal train bound from Wyoming to Sergeant Bluff jumped the tracks about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday.

NEW CASTLE, DE -  An accident occurred on Monday afternoon, June 27, when a Norfolk Southern Railroad, originally mistaken for an Amtrak train, plowed into a tractor trailer in New Castle, Del. Monday afternoon, authorities say.
