BISMARCK, ND – On Friday, March 18, 2011 a BNSF train derailed in east Bismarck, ND, causing 14 rail cars loaded with coal to leave the tracks.

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV – A CSX five car coal train derailed Thursday March 3 around 8:45 a.m. near Springdale WV closing a section of Route 20. Springdale is located in Fayette County about 7 miles from Wheeling.

Authorities with the Fayette County Emergency Operations Center told the media that the train did not flip over, and no injuries were reported.

Route 20 was re-opened late Thursday night, but authorities were still working on getting the train back on its tracks.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
