RUFFIN, NC – A Norfolk Southern train derailed on Tuesday October 1, in Ruffin, NC blocking the road with one rail car and sending another into a residential back yard.
MCBEAN, GA – A Norfolk Southern train derailed on September 17, when a semi truck crashed into it in Burke County, GA. McBean is located in Richmond County, Georgia in the eastern part of the state. The accident site was in Burke County, GA near the Richmond County line about 17.6 miles southeast of Augusta.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, PA – A Norfolk Southern train derailed on September 12, 2013 after a crash with a tractor trailer in Monroe Township, PA. Monroe Township is located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in the southern central part of the state about 17 miles southwest of Harrisburg.
BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. — A Norfolk Southern railroad worker was killed after he was trapped in a mudslide while checking track conditions on Old Fort Mountain a few miles outside of Black Mountain, North Carolina.
LANCASTER, PA. — A Norfolk Southern train derailed on Sunday, April 14, on the overpass that runs over the Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The accident occurred shortly after noon on Sunday. According to Lancaster City Police Sgt. Ray Corll, the train car that caused the derailment was carrying paper and derailed a short distance from RR Donnelley, a print company that also provides other services.
There were no injuries reported at the time of the accident and traffic was not affected.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.

FORT WAYNE, IN. — An OSHA investigation found that a Ft. Wayne crane operator, employed by Norfolk Southern, was wrongfully fired for reporting workplace injuries. OSHA has ordered Norfolk Southern railroad to expunge the disciplinary record of the railroad worker, to reinstate the employee it fired and to pay him nearly $438,000 in damages.

FORT WAYNE, IN — A Norfolk Southern railroad worker was injured on Monday morning, Dec. 24, after falling onto the railroad tracks and had a hand and foot amputated, according to emergency radio traffic.
CASS COUNTY, IN. — State Road 25 in Cass County Indiana was shut down after a Norfolk Southern train derailed and hit a semi truck this morning.
