EFFINGHAM, IL – An 18 wheeler hauling a semi trailer got stuck at a rail crossing in Effingham, IL and an eastbound CSX train crashed into it on September 28, 2011.
FULTS, Il. – A Union Pacific train carrying carrying coal from out of state derailed on Sunday, July 24, at about 12:45 p.m near the southwestern Illinois town of Fults.

NORMANDY, IL — A Union pacific trail carrying grain to Texas derailed shortly after 8 a.m on Friday, May 6, about one mile south of Normandy in northwestern Bureau County spilling corn into an adjacent field.

WILMETTE, IL – A 76-year old Evanston, IL man was killed when he was struck by a Union Pacific Metra train near the Wilmette station on March 18, 2011. Wilmette is located about 19 miles north of Chicago, Illinois in Cook County.

ROODHOUSE, IL – Eight rail cars of a Kansas City Southern Railway train occurred about 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, November 16, when the eastbound train being pulled by four engines slowed to make the curve onto southbound tracks at the Roodhouse Rail Yard. Eight empty grain cars behind the engines derailed to the west of the tracks that run parallel to U.S. Route 67 through Roodhouse.

WAYNE CITY IL – A mail carrier was killed when his vehicle collided with a Canadian National freight train in Farrington Township in Jefferson County, Illinois on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. RIVERDALE, IL – The woman, who was killed Friday night on April 23, 2010 when a freight train rolled over her in a Riverdale rail yard, has been identified as Melinda Carter, 37, a CSX railroad employee. According to Melinda’s family, she was at work in the yard when a train malfunctioned and rolled over her.
