MONROE, N.C. — A CSX train crash involving 5 vehicles and a semi truck on Tuesday, April 30, shut down Old Charlotte Highway and Rocky River Road in Monroe N.C. for hours.
CANTON, OH — A train derailment on Thursday, April 25, caused three rail cars to spill a load of plastic pellets at the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad Gambrinus Yard in canton, Ohio.
BRIDGEPORT, NE. — Railroad crews worked throughout the day on Monday, April 22, to clean up and repair a 15 car train derailment on the BNSF tracks that occurred Sunday from a southbound coal train. No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
LANCASTER, PA. — A Norfolk Southern train derailed on Sunday, April 14, on the overpass that runs over the Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The accident occurred shortly after noon on Sunday. According to Lancaster City Police Sgt. Ray Corll, the train car that caused the derailment was carrying paper and derailed a short distance from RR Donnelley, a print company that also provides other services.
There were no injuries reported at the time of the accident and traffic was not affected.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
