NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – A car that was stalled at a rail crossing was hit by a train in North Little Rock, AR on July 12, 2013. North Little Rock is located in Pulaski County, Arkansas in the central part of the state about 3 miles northeast of Little Rock and about 154 miles southeast of Fort Smith.

The accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the Pike Ave rail crossing where it connects to Percy Machin Dr. According to the police, the train clipped the rear of the car. Four people were in the car at the time and although no one was seriously injured, one person was hurt in the mishap.

There were no railroad worker injuries reported at the time of the incident.

There was no derailment following the accident.
