EL PASO, Texas — A Union Pacific train derailed just before noon on Saturday afternoon on Saturday, March 23, in South El Paso, Texas.
According to Union Pacific officials, five rail cars derailed inside the railroad company’s private yard along the Cesar Chavez Border Highway near Park St.
Union Pacific crews worked throughout the afternoon to reattach the rail cars. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
There were no reports of injuries at the time of the incident.
