CORPUS CHRISTI, TX  –  A 47-year old worker at H & H Metals was critically injured this morning and is now battling for his life after being crushed between a rail car and a front loader. The incident occurred at H & H Iron and Metal in the 3700 block of Agnes Street.

According to authorities, a rail car had derailed and workers had been using a front loader in an attempt to place it back on the track. While pulling the rail car with the front loader it stopped, but the rail car did not. The rail car pushed the man up against the front loader and crushed him.

Emergency crews rushed the worker to Spohn Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries.
