KANSAS CITY, KS. – At approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 15, Kansas City Police received a call that the body of a BNSF railroad worker was found on the railroad tracks near 42nd Street and Kansas Avenue.

Investigators say the man was apparently hit by a railroad car. He was found trapped between two rail cars and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was described as a man in his 40s. His name has not yet been released, pending the notification of relatives.

The investigation of the death of the railroad worker is ongoing at this time.
