ENID, OK — A train belonging to Farm Rail Company derailed on the BNSF railway closing three intersections this morning in Enid, OK. The incident occurred at about 10:20 a.m.involving three cars that derailed along Johnson Avenue, closing the crossings at Broadway, Elm and Randolph avenues.

The rail cars were cleared from BNSF Railway tracks and three crossings were reopened about 2:40 p.m. today, police Lt. Eric Holtzclaw said.

No one was injured, and the train cars did not overturn, police said. No cargo was spilled.

Holtzclaw said rain could have softened the ground, causing track to sink, but the cause is still under investigation. It was not raining at the time of the accident.
